Insect Inspiration
The 2024 Garden Expo merchandise design was inspired by Wisconsin’s pollinators and the gardens they thrive in. Pollinators, such as the bumble bee, are vital to local Wisconsin ecosystems and play an important role in helping the state’s plants and crops thrive.

The bee design is based on the rusty patched bumble bee, an endangered pollinator found in only a few states, including Wisconsin. The design is entirely made up of pollinator-friendly plants commonly found in the state to encourage local gardeners to explore ways of incorporating these plants into their own gardens, aiding in pollinator conservation efforts, and keeping our native pollinators around for many years to come.
